Truly grateful for another year of the HCX adventure! Grateful for my team’s critical participation in VMware’s multi-cloud journey. Grateful for the opportunity to be in the proverbial eye of the HCX storm. Grateful for to the technologists keeping the conversation alive in VMware Communities (HCX in VMTN)! Grateful for the community at large. Thank you everyone who follows HCX ongoings here. Thank you for everyone who made it out to VMware Explore Barcelona and came to “Meet the Expert” (our planned HCX MTE blew up from one to four sessions due to demand)!
I’m grateful for our customers who have collectively trusted HCX to move hundreds of thousands of workloads. I’m looking forward to meeting many of you over the next year as I transition into new responsibilities in the HCX Product Management team.

- VMware HCX 4.5.1 was released this week.
- 4.5.1 is the latest HCX release for VMware Cloud on AWS GovCloud. In a nutshell, this release brings the 4.4 & 4.5 feature set to agencies requiring FedRamp High.
- HCX 4.5.1 is not a maintenance release for the commercial/general HCX 4.5 deployments. The maintenance work will be delivered in HCX 4.5.2.
- HCX 4.3.X will reach end of support next month. If an upgrade event is not possible due to holiday shutdown, I recommend planning a direct upgrade to 4.5.2 (fully supported path) after we release it.
✌🏼😘 Bye.
